CRC Premium rhum, the Damoiseau XO from Guadeloupe. You may recognise the distiller as we featured their golden rum earlier this year.
Aged for a minimum of 6 years in ex-bourbon barrels, Damoiseau X.O Rhum has a unique combination of power and finesse for an aged Rhum Agricole. A heavy oceanic character has given an opulent depth and the wood and sugarcane come together to release burnt orange peel, mint, cinnamon, and tobacco spices.
On the Nose: Amber coloured with a tawny reflection, the nose is very concentrated with fruit and spice.
On the Palate: The mouth is characterised by chocolate, buttery caramel and banana flambée with a touch of cinnamon. The end reveals roasted grain and vanilla.
