Using molasses sourced from neighbouring Eswantini, the best De Vry could find in their continent, they took their learning of Jamaican rum to produce Xwai. They have adopted a longer fermentation which gives their rum depth and richness, the rum is then aged for a minimum of 2 years in charred French and American oak barrels.
The rum is fruity, aromatic and has a treacle-like quality, which is balanced by excellent wood, vanilla, and tobacco notes with a hint of char.
